Church Life Coordinator


OUR GOAL:  We seek to hire a person who will stimulate the life of our church, and focus on developing, growing, and connecting programs that involve all ages of our congregation.  This position will be offered at 25 hours per week, and feature flexible working hours.  The Church Life Coordinator will report to and work closely with the Pastor.

OUR CHURCH:  We are located in the Town of Coupeville, in central Whidbey Island.  Coupeville is a rural community of 1800 people, many of whom are retired.  Our church is composed of 250 members, and has an annual budget of $200,000.  Our annual giving supports local and world-wide missions.  We have many well-functioning groups, including choir, youth, and United Methodist Women, and we want to grow and connect these programs with other new initiatives that will increase our service ministry to our community and keep our congregation vibrant and healthy.



  The successful applicant must:


1.  Be a self-starter, able to organize, plan and conduct activities to engage members of the church across all ages:  children, youth, young adults and families, mature adults, shut-ins, and other groups.


2.  Be outgoing and able to relate and communicate effectively with all individuals and groups, using technology and face-to-face techniques.


3.  Promote Methodist worship and beliefs.
