United Women in Faith (UWF)

Formerly known as Coupeville United Methodist Women (UMW), now the Whidbey Island United Women of Faith (UWF).

We are an active group of women in social action who provide food for the Foodbank's Meals to Kids program as well as nourishing soups, sandwiches and treats for the students of Coupeville Open Academy, serving students struggling with education and often homeless or low income.  We support many non-profits on Whidbey Island with funding for women's and children's needs.

We have an extensive library of books for people of all ages dedicated to inspiring people in our UWF unit, in our congregation, and community to follow Jesus in serving and loving God and neighbor.  We advocate for justice and mercy for all people through contacts with government leaders at all levels.

Our UWF holds meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month except for June-August. Meetings often include a light appetizer, a guest speaker, and then a business meeting.

Our sewers, knitters and crafters meet each Monday at 10:00 a.m. to create handmade goods for our Bazaar held each year to coincide with the town of Coupeville's Christmas Parade and tree lighting.  We also raise funds in other ways throughout the year to ensure mission happens throughout the year in our community, our state, country, and world.
